Born in Brazil and raised in Miami, Henrix first made a name for himself as a DJ and music producer, performing on some of the biggest stages around the globe, including Tomorrowland and Electric Zoo. That same raw energy now fuels his visual art. Henrix transitioned from music to painting full-time, channeling the intensity of live performance into every brushstroke. His work is rooted in Miami’s vibrant culture, bold, unapologetic, and always pushing boundaries. Using everything from digital elements to oil, acrylic, spray paint, and resin, Henrix is inspired by pop culture and his own experiences to create artwork that connects with collectors worldwide.
Henrix has built an original universe of characters known as the Mutants. A cast of bold, expressive figures that blur the line between street art, pop art, and surrealism. The first series, Phantasia, introduced these characters to the world, but it was A Beautiful Nightmare that became a breakout moment. Debuting at Art Basel Miami, A Beautiful Nightmare drew crowds who came specifically to see the piece, solidifying the Mutants as a signature element of Henrix’s evolving body of work.
Henrix is known for creating artwork live in front of an audience, a practice known as performance painting. Using acrylic, oil, spray paint, resin, and diamond dust on canvas or wood panel, he builds each piece layer by layer in real time.
